Against Penn, with Penn

"I think that black and white pictures are intrinsically finer than color. I think that I have never seen a really great color photograph."

Irving Penn said this, and like every great photographer (or artist, rather), he is a liar. But in this case, Kristen was better served by black and white, and color would have said too much. And why say too much?
